Four friends on a first visit to Ireland couldn’t have had a more fun, well taken care of trip. The Carrig coaches van was new, spotless, comfortable, and equipped with bottles of water each morning. Our driver Mike Stritch is the main reason we were able to have such a magnificent trip!! He was always early and ready to help us have the best day possible. He knows the area and helped us make the best decisions about where to visit and how to best maximize our week. He stopped to let us explore and take pictures when we wanted. With his easy demeanor and knowledge he made the trip stress free and relaxing. We felt like we had always known him and would recommend this company and Mike to anyone. If I could give Mike a ten I would. Thanks to Carrig Coaches for the preliminary information, coordinating our travels and helping to set us up with the best Driver ever!

Just completed a week exploring the south of Ireland with Carrig Coaches and Michael Stritch, our amazing driver! We had a bit of an itinerary that Michael added to, showing us sites we didn’t know we needed to see...like Doolough Valley, Torc Falls, and Kylemore Abby. Touring Ireland with an Irishman who is both authentic and knowledgeable was extraordinary and added so much to the overall trip. Michael is easy to converse with and always the professional, showing up on schedule with a spotless Mercedes...perfect for the two of us. His recommendations for pubs and restaurants were always spot on and consistently resulted in an enjoyable evening out. In a COVID-world (and not), this is the way to see Ireland. Unforgettable! Thank you Michael!!

Carrig Coaches was recommended by Adare Manor to take us to/from our Dublin hotel and for several day trips we wanted to take. We did not want to drive in Ireland as we are not used to driving on the left and did not want the stress of navigating while sight seeing. I can’t say enough about our experience. We were introduced to our driver (Mike Stritch) several weeks before our trip and he stayed in touch with advice and suggestions based on our input on what we were interested in seeing. We really appreciated Mike’s input on what made sense to visit/see/do based on the drive times. His advice helped us see as much as possible and with their vehicles, we could get to places tour buses cannot go. (We would not be happy on a tour bus anyway). Mike really went above and beyond for us and made local inquiries for activities he thought we could work in to our day trips. He’s very generous with his time and thoughtful in his approach. He’s a wonderful man and ambassador for Ireland. He knows his history and has a terrific sense of humor. Rest assured, he wants you to have the best experience possible in Ireland. Additionally, Mike is very professional and always early for pick ups but you are never rushed. I hate to run late so I love when people are early! Mike made sure we were well stocked with water for the day on every trip. The vehicle was always clean and he even brought along some additional coats for us for a ferry so we wouldn’t be cold. He could not have done more to make our experience and vacation first rate. He even made sure I got to see some donkeys as he had seen several things on Facebook and knew that I love donkeys! I know we saw things we would not have seen on our own and it was completely stress free for us. Every where we went, they knew Mike and you can tell that he is well regarded. We had a blast and highly recommend Carrig Coaches. If you are fortunate enough to have Mike as your driver, you will not be disappointed.

Exceptional trip throughout Ireland with our amazing driver/guide Mike Stritch. Alma from ICT and Mike, in combination, succeeded in turning our coarse outline schedule into a well organized and coherent tour. Mike was truly excellent in providing context for everything we saw, as well as suggesting stops and locations we would never have known to ask for. This, together with his amiable and strong character, made this a trip to remember.

Just returned from an amazing family trip to Ireland with our adult children and their spouses (8 of us in all). Ireland Chauffeur Travel is definitely the way to go if you don’t want to drive and don’t want your children at the wheel. Mike Strich, our driver, was excellent and added so much to our knowledge of Ireland and the countryside. Like most first-timers, we wanted to see everything. Mike helped us manage our ambitious schedule: getting in all of our ‘must sees’ and suggesting other stops along the way that turned out to be some of our favorites: Healy Pass, baby lambs, and Sean’s Bar. And it was Mike who knocked on the door of cottage C11 in Shannonbridge (‘Don’t worry Sharon. Irish people are very friendly.’) to help me find an Irish cousin! Hats off to Alma and the team at ICT as well who took a wish list and turned it into a tour that we will never forget.

Definitely hire a driver to see Ireland. Mike was our driver and he was absolutely the best! He was so knowledgeable about the history and sights it gave us a much richer experience than we would have had following a map. Many times he pulled into places that we wouldn’t have known about that were absolute gems. Also, he took us on back country roads that no tour bus could have gone over. Another benefit was that because we were on our own schedule, we got to linger in the places we loved and leave early from the places that didn’t interest us. I was concerned to have someone drive, because a week is a long time to spend with someone when you don’t know what they are going to be like, but Mike was awesome, personable, fun to chat with and lovely company. I can’t recommend this trip enough.

Our family, h/w and son/daughter (28/26) enjoyed the entire 8 days. Amazing trip - Desmond House, Butler House, Kilkenny Guest Lodge, and Adare Manor. All of the Proprietors were wonderful. We became fast friends. The glue for the trip was our Driver (personal tour guide) Michael Strich. Helped us to maximize our trip value, took us to the ‘off the beaten paths’ places we never would have seen without him. Everywhere we went, Michael was greeted with a hug and a kiss from Owners and Staff. Husbands - Mike makes the wives/ladies happy, and that is all that matters. Best trip we have ever taken.

Ireland Chauffeur was outstanding. Alison & Ellen were very responsive to all our requests. Our driver, Michael Stritch, was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable & humorous. He made our 9 day tour a real joy. Michael also made itinerary change suggestion that turned out great. We highly recommend requesting Michael as your driver.
